Description: This is the low growing perennial that rarely exceeds 9". The plant is extensively grown in central and Eastern Europe. Leaves are lacy and finely divided, on stems capped with small, white daisy like flowers.
Colour: Clear to pale yellow
Common Uses: Chamomile has a long tradition in herbal medicine. The flowers were used in many cures including an herbal tea to cure insomnia. During the Second World War chamomile was also used as a disinfectant. The essential oil is useful in the treatment of aches and pains in muscles and joints. Treatment of symptoms of PMS with Chamomile is also beneficial especially when the symptoms are related to stress.

Strength of Aroma: StrongThe relaxing aroma of the essential oil, sometimes described as like apples and straw is a natural disinfectant with relaxing, sedative properties.
Blends well with: Geranium, Lavender, Rose, Neroli, Marjoram, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Rosewood, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang.
Aromatic Scent: The relaxing aroma of this essential oil, sometimes described as like 'apples and straw' is an exotic and rich scent. It is commonly accepted as the best smelling of the three Chamomiles.
History: This herb has been used for medicinal purposes and skin therapy for a long time, in particular in Europe. German/Blue Chamomile and Roman Chamomile have very similar properties, however the German/Blue oil is better for anti-inflammatory applications, because it has a higher content of Azulene.
Cautions: Non known toxicity. Use well diluted. High doses may trigger skin reactions in sensitive individuals.

Methods of Use
Bath – add up to 2 to 3 drops of Essential Oil to a full bath with warm water. Agitate the water and soak for 20 mins. For sensitive skin types add 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk or soy milk, (if lactose intolerant).
Use only 1 drop for babies and children under 7 years of age and always add 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk or soy milk,(if lactose intolerant).
Foot Treatment – add up to 3 drops of Essential Oil Blend in Foot Spa. Soak feet for 10 minutes then dry and moisturise with Massage Oil Blend or Replenish Hand & Body Cream
Facial Treatment – Add 1 to 2 drops of Essential Oil Blend to 15ml of Massage Oil Blend. Massage into skin morning and night after cleansing and under your favourite Pure Destiny Skin care cream.
Hand Treatment – Add 2 to 3 drops of Essential Oil Blend into a bowl of warm water. Soak hands for 10 minutes. Dry and moisturise with Massage Oil Blend or Replenish Hand & Body Cream
Salt Scrub – to 2 cups of Sea Salt, add 15ml of Massage Oil Blend and 5 drops of Essential Oil Blend. Massage over entire body and wipe off with warm damp cloth or Shower.
Aromatherapy Massage – Dilute 2 to 3 drops of appropriate Essential Oil Blend into 15mls of Massage Oil Blend. Always use dark glass bottles for ultimate safety and protection, as Essential Oils will affect plastics.
